What is a Packing List?
A packing list itemises the exact contents of each shipping unit: number of units, gross/net weight, dimensions, and markings. It is reviewed by customs, logistics providers, and insurers to verify cargo integrity.
Submitted together with the commercial invoice and CMR/Bill of Lading.
Speeds customs inspection — officers reconcile actual contents with the PL without opening unnecessary boxes.
In e-Packing List format, data are transmitted under EU CDM v6 in line with Reg. (EU) 2020/1056 (eFTI).
