What is a Certificate of Origin?
A Certificate of Origin (CO) attests to the country where the goods were manufactured for customs and trade procedures when tariff preferences do not apply. In Ukraine, it is issued by regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI) based on evidence of origin (invoices, production/technological sheets, raw-material certificates).
It is used when the goods are not covered by preferential agreements or to substantiate tariff quotas and trade-defence measures.
The form complies with the ICC WCF standard: 8 information boxes, the CCI stamp, and the expert’s signature.
Validity: 12 months from the date of issue, or until the applicable rules change in the importing country.
